We were part of the TYCC family for 2.5 years, sending both of our children there. Throughout our time at Tender Years, we always knew that our children were well taken care of, and truly cared about. My older daughter learned so much during her time there, and talked often about her friends and teachers. Even after leaving (only due to a family move), Miss Jamie reached out to see how the girls were doing. TYCC is truly a family.

I can not begin to describe what Jamie and Tender Years Child Care has meant to our family, but more importantly, to the well-being of my son. We began with Jamie in 2014 just before my son turned 2, until we moved in 2017 when he was 4; just prior to him beginning transitional kindergarten (TK). While at Tender Years Child Care, my son learned his letters, numbers, phonics, solar system, science projects, and went on field trips; but most importantly, he was held, nurtured, consoled, and valued. I never doubted his safety and that Jamie and her staff would care for him while I could not. He would often come home and describe his adventures. What I did not know at the time, is how amazing this foundation would be.
In Fall 2017, my son began TK. It was quickly apparent that what he developed at Tender Years Child Care was setting him apart from his peers. His teacher was impressed that he could write his name, was beginning to read, could count and recognize his numbers, and was very advanced in language arts and math skills at the beginning of the year. Recently, his teacher said he is now testing at first grade levels, a full year beyond TK. He is also a great friend to his peers and a happy little guy. While we worked hard as a family to support him, Tender Years Child Care gave him the opportunity to learn with his peers, be nurtured by Jamie and her staff, and grow in a safe environment. I will never forget the first day that I left my son in Jamie’s arms, and I will forever be grateful for her, her staff and her family. Thank you, Tender Years Child Care!

I first want to say that I am very grateful (for lack of a better and bigger word) to have a place where I feel my daughter is at peace and resting when she needs to and learning so much. I am grateful for the sweet kids and the sweet parents. For the fact that you're so clean. And for your gentle way with the kids that makes them feel loved and makes them listen all at the same time - it is truly a magical gift.
YOU are the reason we chose your daycare over any other. Your demeanor and the quality of person you are made us both immediately agree to choose Tender Years Child Care.
Although you have a very competent staff, and they each have unique gifts to share with the kids, it is YOUR style that I prefer. It is a huge contrast. If you weren't there, we probably would have kept looking for someone as skilled and conscious as you. Your crew is nice, but you're the "one." I know you can't clone yourself and continue to grow as a person and as a professional all the while never leaving Tender Years Child Care. (Although I wish you could). ;)

Tender Years Child Care has an AMAZING program! The center provides a nurturing and responsive environment full of fun and excitement for all ages and stages of development. My son met Jamie Wroten when he was just 3-months old and he spent 4 wonderful years at the center. Through the years, he gained a strong social foundation backed up with key academic skills and the discipline needed to succeed in elementary school.
The entire Tender Years family became our second family over the years and we continue to love and support their team. I HIGHLY recommend this program to everyone in need of a home away from home; Tender Years is the closest thing to family you can get.

We had a collective 7 years with TYCC between our two children and it was a great experience. Jamie is wonderful with the kids and has a great way with them. The best part is that TYCC isn’t just a day care. It goes beyond babysitting. My kids learned and were prepared for preschool and beyond by what they got there. The academics, while not extraneous, certainly set my kids up above their peers.

Our son Aidan began attending TYCC at about 9 months old and we couldn’t bear to move him into Pre-School until he was 4 ½ years old. He loved being at “Miss Jamie’s” with “MomMom” and everyone else. When he did get to Pre-School, he was more than ready for challenges of school. We never had any concerns that were not addressed by the TYCC owner and staff. In fact, I am hard pressed to remember any concerns. The facility was safe, clean and continuously upgraded. Aidan ended up being the oldest child there for the last six months of his time, but he left with a strong sense of empathy for children younger than himself and even this last summer at the age of 7, he wondered if he could go to Miss Jamie’s to help.
Miss Jamie and her staff at TYCC are loving, patient and dedicated to the safety and growth of children physically, mentally and emotionally. I would highly recommend TYCC to anyone who wants to feel secure about the care of their young child during a long day at work. Do yourself a favor and visit.

“I cannot say enough about how satisfied I have been with the care and early childhood instruction provided by TYCC. My daughter, now in Pre-K, was just 2 months old when I had to get back to work and “hand her over” each day to strangers. Those “strangers” turned out to be a new part of our family: Jamie Wroten and her team.
There is no better word than we were simply “blessed” with TYCC. I believe strongly that people come into our lives at just the right time and for just the right reason. The love and care, instruction and structure all played a huge role in the fact that she was more than prepared when she moved on to preschool. I would recommend TYCC without reservation to any parent looking for outstanding and personalized care for their infant, toddler or preschooler.
Our family decided without apprehension to place our 18 month old child, Zoë into TYCC after interviewing several Daycare facilities. We quickly learned we were amongst “like-minded” parents also dedicated to a higher learning environment. We endorse their staff, multi-generation family values, and decades of broad educational experience. We especially appreciated “Mom-Mom’s” accurate account of Zoë’s learning strengths and weakness, which we embraced and considered during her formative years. TYCC is dedicated to their early beginners and their families. We respectfully recommend TYCC to other families interested in choice care.
